Supporting Displaced Ukrainians

In 2022 proceeds of The Longest Night Run will go to supporting displaced Ukrainians both locally and abroad. We will be partnering with Ukrainian Settlement Task Force in Steinbach to provide basic life necessities to those affected by the war.

The Ukrainian Settlement Task Force in Steinbach has seen over 70 displaced families move to our city and region because of the war in Ukraine. These families have often fled with very few belongings and struggle to provide for their family while also setting up new homes. The greatest needs are the basics of life. Through donations we will provide food vouchers for many of these families to help fill their fridges and pantries so they can continue to work at rebuilding their lives.

We are also working with the Mennonite Centre in Ukraine to provide food and clothing through humanitarian projects to displaced people in dozens of communities in Ukraine.

Proceeds of The Longest Night Run and 100% of extra donations given at time of registration will be given to these efforts. No tax receipts will be given for these gifts.

If you would like to contribute directly to humanitarian aid projects in Ukraine, please visit the Mennonite Centre website to donate. Direct donations are eligible for tax receipts.
