We’re excited to share the Longest Night with you. Here are a few details to help us have a great night.

Check-in
When you arrive at The Public (301 Main St), let our volunteers know you’re here. Pick up a sticker and any merch you may have ordered.
You can start running whenever you’re ready. We will have suggested routes (or check them out here), or you can find your own. We will ring a bell every hour to send you off on your leg of the relay.
Food
We will have cinnamon buns, hot chocolate, and soup available for participants. If you’re looking for gels or other running fuel, bring your own.
The Public will have the taps open until 11pm if you’d like to purchase beer.
Ultra Corner
If you’re planning to run for a long time, there will be space to store gear while you’re out. Plan to bring a bin or bag and keep it in a designated “ultra corner”. We ask that you keep chairs and couches available for other participants.
Donations
Southeast Cancer Support Services will have a representative on-site to accept additional donations (cash, cheque, or card) and answer questions. Take a moment to learn more about what this great organization is doing to help people in our community.
Interactive Art
From 7-9pm we will welcome special guests from Gather who will be making custom linocut prints for the event. Buy your own for $15. We will also have beading supplies to make your own bracelet to remember a person or a theme from the night. And add to our remembrance wall with a photo of a loved one, or by adding a note.
Safety
Please be safe while you’re out. Do not run alone. Be mindful of traffic and wear lights or reflective gear to make sure you’re visible. You will be running in winter conditions, so be sure to dress appropriately and take time to warm up as needed.
We’re looking forward to spending this memorable night with you.
